Opening
Divine Parents, we have so much to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving Day, but nothing to be more thankful for than for You, and for us, for our relationship, the one to the other. This is the purpose of the universe. We do come and we are grateful, thankful to our very core for this relationship that we have from you, through you, that we are.
We would invite your emissaries of light into our parlor here to join with us and offer their insights as we have offered ours. Perhaps we will play back and forth.
Mark: Okay, this is Mark, and I got a hit to talk about discernment, and I have been asked if I would start out this with my experience with what discernment is to me. So, I would say … [Four participants express their views on what discernment is.]
MONJORONSON: Greetings. I am indeed excited to contribute to this conversation. I am Monjoronson, as you have been told, and I have enjoyed greatly your individual contributions, your bringing your pieces of the puzzle to the table. Each one of you has described your own portion of the elephant that you touch immediately before you, and it is ever true that you have been faithful in your description of that which you are in contact with as being true and accurate to the best of your ability to comprehend.
And, in fact, collectively you have all brought to the table the answers to the very questions that you brought with you, as well. I will play clean-up here and take some of your concepts and string them together to bring more enlargement of the individual pieces as we assemble them into the whole.
Lesson
The question was asked about your each individual experiences of discernment and Mark offered his observation that there was an aspect of the mind involved in the analysis, the categorization and the subsequent judgment and relative understanding. Allene then offered that there was a distinct component of a sense of feeling to this process as well. And Tom offered the useful triangle and then Gerdean laid over another very similar triangle and when one can assemble all these pieces together, one can truly begin to get an accurate assessment of this large aspect, this elephant before us, to be understood.
It is true that it is all of these things. There is the component of feeling; there is the component of knowing. These together, when utilized, become the overall act of discernment. There is this triangle that many names may be used to attempt to describe the characteristics of the feeling, the knowing, and the interpreting as discernment, but they all refer to the same approaches. You are not simply your mind’s analysis of the facts, figures and relative associations. And yet this information is critical in your act of synthesizing all that happens to you. Likewise, you are more than your intuitive sense, which may be an excellent impetus for you, but requires the practical application of what this means in your real world. So these two aspects are used in your attempt to discern all that comes into your experience in this life.
Now. With this image in mind of the aspects of the self that work together to approach the corner of discernment, picture if you will the addition of a focal lens to concentrate your efforts at discernment. This focal lens is your Indwelling Guide, your Father Fragment, your Voice Presence, and it can help you bring into focus these two separate and distinct avenues of approach much like a magnifying glass may be used to focus the vision through both of your eyes to a focal point.
When you avail yourselves of this additional tool to be used in this process, you – like the magnifying glass – have great force in your ability to create focus, even down to a point wherein there is so much energy focused you can create spontaneous combustion through the looking glass, and internal ignition through the aspect of your allowing your Inner Guide to bring this focus to you.
It’s truly a tribute to your training and understanding that you all have such worthy and valid contributions to make to a discussion such as this, wherein each one of you may bring different parts of this buffet to the table and we may sample and share each valid observation and experience and combine them on our individual plates to bring about a more total experience of what is to be shared.
I would, before passing the baton, address another of the positions expressed earlier in the discussion. There was the thread that there are many new and different things coming into your immediate environments and there are many who would claim to speak for Michael or Mother Spirit or any of the celestial personalities that you are fortunate enough to have some familiarity with. And I observe that there is concern that there are rather stark differences in these who claim to be the messengers, but I would ask you only to discern using these skills as we have just discussed, taking into account both how this message feels and then how this message sounds and applying both of these aspects in your attempt to discern the relative validity of any out there who claim to have a message to present.
Remember, however, that Michael has said he will stop at nothing to reach you, to reach his children in all places, in all ways, at all times, under all circumstances, and so if there are ones out there who do not act as you would approve of, or look as you would approve of, or claim to represent those you do not approve of, you must simply follow the guidelines we have just discussed to accurately and quickly determine for yourself the relative validity to you as an individual, and this is all that is required of you, that you make this assessment, you make this determination as to what is proper in your universe, what you will and will not accept and tolerate, and then simply let it be. Because what is significant to you, important to you, will be unique to you. What is significant to others will be unique to others. And those who deliver these messages for the most part incorporate the fact that these messages are delivered to far wider audiences than are observed at the time of their generation. So therefore, allowances must be made to cast the net wide and to be inclusive.
Again, this will resonate to some, not to others. Perhaps not to you at times, and at other times, strike a chord deep within, but you are un-impacted by all of these things lest you choose to be; that is, until the moment you adopt these things that are out there, they are merely potentials circulating out and about, perhaps meant for others. The moment you grab one of these things out of the thought stream as it goes by and bring it into your individual mini-verse, then you begin to incorporate and adopt these into your own framework of understanding. But the whole time the river had been running, and others have been dipping out of the waters and what they dip out will never be what you have dipped out. And what everybody ends up gathering is unique unto themselves. It is best if we allow all manner and all form of communication at this time, and like your Master has said, forbid them not to preach in his name, simply discern for yourself.
I sense tonight your loyal dedication, those of you who would even go out of your way on this holiday to join, and I would open up the arena to allow for any to contribute or propose a topic for discussion.
Dialogue
Allene: When you first started, Mark, what was coming to me as you were nudged from my M team was talking about how we need to recognize our magnificent selves, and maybe Monjoronson might speak on this.
MONJORONSON: I would return that serve back to you in this form. Remember that it is always the goal before you to become divine beings. But make no mistake at any time that this is what is in store for each one of you, for everyone of you as the plan is designed around this very outcome. Emanating from divinity and returning thereto, you thus become at some point along the way. And to the degree that you are aware that this is the case, you too may choose to manifest your true stature and you have been told repeatedly that you are great spiritual beings capable of great spiritual heights, and yet when your brethren may make such a bold claim, there is doubt and suspicion. Natural, of course, but not necessarily conducive to promoting the ideal that this is a normal and natural state of being and that you are in process of transforming your very selves into this stature.
So I would encourage you all to remind yourselves and as Gerdean made reference to in the prayer she offered, there is a degree of courage required to fully accept this posture as one that you are entitled to and becoming in time. Part of how this transition may be made easier for you is, again, to use the principles we have discussed to ask yourselves how does this feel, and then work with the conditions and parameters that your mind will fabricate to justify its standard position of observable phenomenon. Remember, you have only touched a small portion of the elephant, and your mind knows only this portion. There is a time when you must ask for more than your mind knows and more than your heart feels, and if you ask in sincerity, you will receive. That is the guarantee that you receive from your Indwelling Spirit.
Tom: You know, this reminds me, as you were speaking, that each superuniverse seems to have its own laws and its own way of understanding things, and at any one given time, I seem to sense from the Urantia Book that we only get one-seventh of the answer, and that there are beings who actually embody a certain concept and if that concept isn’t available, they must be borrowed from another universe — superuniverse. It almost seems like the only time that– A Teacher doesn’t teach down, he teaches eye to eye, and sometimes some of these lessons that we’re getting are either above our head or below it, and we’re not meant to really understand the whole picture. That’s what gives us something to push on, on our way to Paradise. I mean, it gives us something to do forever.
MONJORONSON: Keep in mind, my dear friends, that as you have just alluded to, there are a number of levels on which you are receiving input throughout your experience, and a number of levels you are making your discernment upon. And what may not strike a chord cerebrally with you, may not resonate within your understanding may very well resonate with your feeling; and likewise, what may be strongly felt, may be very difficult of interpretation by the mind, so that this information is impacting you on various levels simultaneously.
And in addition to the various tomes of words, symbols, vocal chords, and brain activity involved in the re-assembly of such words, symbols, and tones, there are additionally carrier waves attached to these messages that are designed to impact you on a very different circuitry, a circuitry of the deep internal thread of awareness. As well, there are opportunities built in to such messages to create bridges between your present platform of understanding in the mind and the direction your inner guide would urge you to pursue to arrive at even greater arenas of awareness.
So you are accurate once again in your assessment, although partial of description in your observation that there are a number of ways in which we are in the process of discernment all along.
Allene: Monjoronson, I thank you very much for what you just said, and I realize sitting here that while you were throwing the ball back in my court, talking to me, I got waves of … I’m not even– I can’t quite– I have no words to describe it, but when you were talking about our divinity, I suddenly saw the unity of my Adjuster and me and I could feel it throughout my whole body and was just … beautifully … beautiful. And I thank you. So your words touched something in me. Not on a mental level, but on a very deep level, and I thank you, so it’s just beautiful.
MONJORONSON: And as I just made reference to, obviously what occurred to you in your personal experience was very slightly related to the actual words being used, but more so your sense of the energy that the words were simply meant to convey and that is what your feeling flushed with the energy was as opposed to the mental stimulation that one receives when trying to assemble these word symbols into sentences and bring some cognizance into the equation. Your experience just demonstrated that in addition to all that that was transpiring, there were other frequencies involved, other energies portrayed and shared. And this is exactly what I just attempted to describe, about the many different wavelengths, if you will, of energy that is shared as we go about this experience even now.
Allene: Thank you. I hope that you will help those of us who have been blessed to experience our Adjusters to find the words to try to share with all of our brothers and sisters that they might have this same experience. All your help in this way would be most appreciated.
MONJORONSON: I certainly have offered you that commitment and I intend to manifest it. I request at this time to address Gerdean with some thoughts, if I might share. (Pause) I assume you are there, Gerdean.
Gerdean: I’m here.
MONJORONSON: Okay. My dear one, I would like to take this opportunity, since we are in rather a private forum, to offer you my sincere gratitude. My dear, you are a beloved child of light, and I have observed you for a very long time and I have respected, beyond words to describe to you, your offers of service to the Mission as you saw it. I want you to know that you are an example to a universe of one who will step forward and offer herself in service to her highest ideal and her grandest cause, and this demonstration is spectacular to behold.
It is all that could be expected, asked, encouraged, of any student of light, and you have repeatedly demonstrated your willingness to pick up the charge and go forward in faith, and I would just simply, in this privacy, have you know of my respect for you as a mortal of the realm and as a light worker who I consider to be on the same team, as we both concede that our greatest mission and purpose is to be in service to Michael. I am touched to be working with ones of such stature as yourself and I have respected at every turn your decision to come to your own place at your own time and honor your path as I honor the path of all others.
But I must say that I have been greatly pleased to watch you expand and grow to such a degree. It is such a joy to watch all of the seekers as they find and as they become and flower and bloom, and I have been brought great joy to watch you, as well, as you differentiate your own flower.
Gerdean: Are you on a comma, or is that– are you finished with your sentence, your thought?
MONJORONSON: Would you wish to share anything with me?
Gerdean: Yes, I would like to say something, in the face such unbridled flattery. One, of course, is that it is music to my ears. I have heard the Teachers commend each other for a long, long time and speak so highly of each other, and this is certainly along the lines of the graciousness that Michael manifested, and I appreciate your gracious words, even as I refuse to be flattered by them. Um…
I was going to talk to you a couple weeks ago but we had a computer glitch. I wanted to — and this is a great opportunity to do that, since we are paused here in conversation. Your very kind words about going where I was sent and so forth, which is really very true, because I, for example, went to Butler, Pennsylvania, on what I believed to be an assignment of the nature of an ambassador and I took it really seriously. [Having trouble expressing herself; choking up.]
However, … I have felt that I failed … my task … by leaving there. And I have been feeling guilty and feel like I’ve sold out somehow. I don’t feel like I did what I was supposed to do. I didn’t stay there and finish what I was sent to do.
And then, knowing that you– the big wig on judgment– even though I have no clue what that’s all about … I suspect that I may have anticipated some kind of reprimand or something. You know how silly we humans are. And furthermore, I’ve had a number of bones to pick with you for one reason or another and you’re right, it has been difficult. But, it’s not the first challenge that I’ve had in this universe career, on which I’ve barely embarked, so I’m sure I’ll get used to it. Obviously, it’s better to be on good terms than not. So thank you for your kindness and for saying that I did all right.
MONJORONSON: My dear, thank you for unburdening yourself with some of that, because I would like to assure you that there has been anything but failure. You simply have not, you simply cannot, fail when your motivation is as pure as yours is. Whether you find yourself here or there, in this capacity or that capacity, it matters not when your motivation is pure and your intent would be the same here or there. Your actions would be as a result of this intent, here or there, under this circumstance or that, and I so desire to unburden you of the impression that there was an ideal way, a right way, and that somehow this way was unachieved, for you create the right way as you go, wherever you go. Whatever you do, you choose, you decide. You have the support of a universe. You have the support of your divine Parents and your choices were not and are not wrong; they are simply choices.
Gerdean: Right.
MONJORONSON: They simply provide you with different opportunities.
Gerdean: I didn’t think I was wrong, I just had not followed through. And of course it’s all based on my own perception of what my task was in going back there. And it’s not all about me. There were other people involved. There were other decisions that were made, you know? I am not responsible for other people’s choices. So perhaps it was appropriate that I leave at that time, and …
MONJORONSON: I would assure you that according to the records, which you will enjoy interpreting one day from a different perspective, you will see that you succeeded there, you succeeded elsewhere, you succeed today and you will succeed tomorrow, and that success is not contingent upon a time or a place or an interpreted understanding of what you considered your mission to be at any one juncture. Rather, your mission has been and will continue to be to be in service to the father in the best capacity that you understand in that moment, bringing to the table your understanding of as much of the elephant as you know, is your only role, is your only job, and you have succeeded in this job at every turn and with every step, because …
Gerdean: Thank you.
MONJORONSON: … you are here. You have brought yourself to this place of growth and awareness.
Gerdean: But some people think I’m over the hill!
MONJORONSON: (Chortling) They have not seen the hills on the horizon. There are many, many hills to be ascended and there are many experiences to be gained and one day you will cherish every step that you took and savor it, even more than you do now. You tend, as human beings, to inflict such trauma on yourselves for perceived shortcomings and choices that you may have grown to regret, meanwhile not realizing that those were your cherished gifts and that each one a stone in your foundation of understanding necessary to the integrity of the whole structure.
So I would simply — and this is true for all concerned — I would simply remind you that all of the steps taken along the way of a journey of a thousand miles are necessary steps and that each one is good because it moves you forward in the direction of the desires of your heart. Some may be seen as more fruitful and more productive. Others may be viewed as a stumble or a misstep. But those are only your determinations of relativity. They bear not on the bigger picture of the distance traveled in your journeys.
From where I view you all, you have come many miles and, true enough, you may have stumbled and mis-stepped along the way, but true enough, you stand here at this pinnacle of your own doing with your own steps having brought you here, and that is what I refer to when I give honor to this process that you have undergone to bring you to this place. Not that every step was your finest, but your consistency in keeping momentum forward and your dedication to taking the next step is what is so inspiring and admirable about your characters that have brought you to this place.
Gerdean: Thank you for your kind words.
Tom: Monjoronson, it sort of reminds me of a surveyor, who is trying to find the point of the property or their destination point. If you’re on a flat plane, it’s straight and easy, but most of the work is done on hills and valleys, and so you have to set transit points on either side and take bearings from each one in order to find the desired point. And that there is no wrong point off the path, that it’s just where you get your bearing to find your direction.
MONJORONSON: Very useful analogy. Your point of seeking that what you long to find may be located through the use of any other two perspectives to give you this triangulation that you refer to and therefore you are accurate in your assessment that these two other points of triangulation are not incorrect in any way; they are merely incomplete in the job of locating your point of destination, so that from either point you lack the perspective of the other and therefore cannot grow to this point of discernment. Lacking the other perspective, you are unable to access this triangulation and use both points to focus you to your point of discernment.
Closing
I perceive the energy wanes in the hour, so I would allow for us to all be about our existences. I have very much enjoyed this opportunity to be so casual and intimate as we have just shared. I hope you all come away with the enhanced sense of my presence as I come away from this experience with the enhanced sense of a more intimate intermingling of our energies. One day you will all look back and reflect on how significant these times of our sharing have been, as will I, and we both will have fond memories of such an experience of relationship building that we enjoy, even now.
I toast you all on this holiday, for your accomplishments in bringing yourselves to this platform of awareness wherein we may explore this level together, and I bid you a good Thanksgiving Day and join you in the sentiment as well. Farewell.
