Q1: How do I … use the search engine capabilities to find information?
A1: In the “Search Text” box type the word or word string you are looking for; eg: Brexit or solar minimum. No quotes are necessary. It will only return those results that match your word string.
Then click the “SUBMIT” button on the right. If no other drop-down items are selected the search engine will search the entire database for these text strings. Your results will be displayed on a separate page. Once you view your page you may select “NEXT & “PREVIOUS” to navigate your search results without going back to the main search. If you want to further search within a viewed document simple press CTRL-F to open a search box for more searching within that document.
Additionally, If you select one of the categories/missions (TM groups series) items as shown below…
Selecting this drop-down list box will list all of the various TM group series available along with the number of documents available for each series. Eg: NOCO-NET (81) has 81 documents associated with it and so on.
You may only select 1 TM series at a time to search.
Using the previous example of ‘brexit’ as input text -AND- also selecting NOCO-NET (81); then click SUBMIT. The search engine will only select those transcripts from NOCO-NET series which contain the ‘brexit’ text.
The other drop-down items may also be selected. The more you select – the more refined or narrow your search will be. Have fun!
