Take Care of Your Young Ones.

Monjoronson. : Do not lose sight of the future.  What you see happening is only the remnants of the past making way for the illumination of a new path, a new way, that over time will become more evident.  And what better way to invest in the future than to be present and active in the lives of those you love.

Take care of your young ones.  Guide them with the same light that guides you… the light of love, hope, faith, patience, kindness, and compassion.  Do not teach them fear but point out for them the signs of opportunity.  Do not rush them or scare them into thinking they are running out of time, but slow the flow of time and listen to them. Help them to consider their options carefully.   Let them know that they have an eternity in which to express themselves.  Give them the longer view.

By all means, support their curiosity.  Encourage them as they explore possibilities and uncover their own purpose.  In the fabric of these undefined times, you will notice threads of the past that combine to build a new vision for your world. Allow your young ones to weave for themselves that which will determine their future.  Fill them with hope and they will create their own tapestry.  Model for them the tools of faith, patience, determination and service to others.  Then watch as they discover their own path.

Most of all, teach them that in the flow of life, everything changes.  Nothing stays exactly the same.  Tell them there is little to fear in the flow of life. What defines the day, is nothing more than an ever-changing view for them to envision something different, something new.

Teach them that around every corner, is an opportunity.  And that even in the darkest of times, they will find the possibility to turn something frightening, disappointing, or painful into a new way of thinking that will guide them away from their fear and sadness.   Remind them when they stumble, that there will always be something to gain, something to learn.  And once they latch on to a new perspective, reinforce their dreams with the belief that they are truly capable of creating a masterpiece out of their lives.

By investing all that you know to be good and true in the lives of your young ones, you are giving them the essential gift of being cared for and demonstrating for them how to pass on the same to others.

This is what is needed to move forward in these uncertain times.  It is a separating of the good from the bad, the happy from the sad, and the new from the old.  It is learning to take the tattered remnants of a broken system, and weave from it a much stronger, brighter, equitable future, piece by piece.  And it begins by nurturing those who will be there in the future to do so.

My friends, these precious young ones have been placed in your hands. During these days of transition, take advantage of the time you have with them. Be there for them, not only as a reminder of the remains of the past, but also as beacon for the light of the future.
