Session
Opening

ABRAHAM:  I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. This evening I am inspired by your levels of confidence to handle the material life. It indeed takes some spiritual knowledge and experience to maneuver through the struggles onto the eternal rewards. When I look at you working in this Teaching Mission, I feel a new level of confidence in the overall Kingdom plan. I see you as a stable point of light.

Lesson

ABRAHAM:  You have enough experience to wade through the mysticism into the reality of the spirit. To a certain degree you are firmly rooted in the realities that will create growth in the Teaching Mission and the whole of the Correcting Time. As you can see, there is a great deal occurring in the world today and the outworking of the Spirit of Truth is becoming quite apparent. We are so happy to see you well adjusted individuals that work simply out of love for Father and His ultimate truth.

MARY:  I am MARY. I am always honored to be with you and believe me; I find you and your topics of discussion to be very engaging. I love our level of relation as Kingdom believers and fellows who have experienced life in the flesh. I can work from that standpoint. There is such an energy of division throughout the planet. Many are compelled to jump off the fence one way or another and find a home in truth or simply in comfort. It is such a struggle to break through that barrier of ego or animalistic tendencies. There is seemingly a large number of humbling experiences that leads one to open up to the spirit. As you mentioned earlier, those that choose to stay planted in their animalistic ways become victims and never try to break through that shell of imprisonment.

Growing up on Urantia I had developed a tough exterior. By the time I was really an adult I had levels of self-defense that were difficult to break through. I had been hurt and my tough exterior was going to protect me from further pain. I had not really known what a true friend was until I had met those apostolic sisters. They accepted me for who I was, what I looked like and how I acted. Their kindness brought out the best in me. My experience learning from the Master showed me that the mortal life is temporary and simply a learning ground to further adventures in our eternal career. That meant any disagreements I had that caused hurt were not closed off. The experiences here on the planet were simply to open the door to our next experience. All events or past pain is open to a healing. Damaged relationships are not forever. There is understanding in the next phase of mortal existence. You have opportunity to make repairs. Nothing is closed off and a wound that will never heal.

As I grew older I found my tough exterior to repel the spirit as well as any potential pain. Working with the Master I found my emotions to be natural and simply a process to work through and eventually master. I had permission to feel and reason. The truth always emerged to reveal new opportunities to learn new spiritual skills. This week instead of always repelling the so-called animalistic tendencies, let us find new joy in feeling what we are supposed to really feel as young spirits. Be not afraid of any pain, for the Father is always at hand. In quiet times you can find wisdom that will show you how to deal with that difficult employer, handle the behavior of an unruly child, have understanding for your spouse, maybe speak kind words to those who are seemingly unreachable. You all have learned certain defense mechanisms that would seemingly repel painful experience and believe me, it is well understood. As we grow in the spirit and learn to master the ego, let us develop the skills that will allow us to have patience in our struggles and have not fear for revealing that softer side.

Closing

MARY:   This life is temporary and our experiences here are not complete. We are in an ongoing state of becoming. We have all the help we will ever need. It is our individual responsibility to be open to it, to ask for it. That is all for this evening. Stay observant and know that we are building upon a foundation for the next life. From Abraham and myself, we send you with our love and offer to give assistance in any way you need. Until next time, Shalom
