ABRAHAM: I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. I am made lighter by your willingness to see and accept life for what it is. Knowing you has helped me to be a part of the modern world. Being able to view your many opinions has helped me to look within myself to see what I really believe.
Lesson
I can remember a day when I was not able to accept anything new and my rude countenance with others would show them that my mind was closed and their words were no good here. I was really fearful of the changing world. I did not know if I could find my place in it. I almost feared my intellect could not grasp the changes and find adjustment. I would exert my power in a forceful manner toward those that I dealt with and I maintained an unchangeable-ness. While I had my so-called comfort zone, I also put forth a tremendous amount of energy on keeping my world as I always knew it.
You can’t imagine my disbelief at the new teacher. What a blessing Machiventa was to me in showing me how change always was, is and will be throughout worlds of evolution. He taught me how the Supreme Being relies upon change because this is the doorway to knowledge and that is how growth and advancement occurs. I suppose Machiventa couldn’t have found a more stubborn student and yet, his patience kept urging me to keep trying to have an open mind and have not judgment.
I really felt I became with new eyes. The world seemed to be a blossoming rose that bestowed beauty with each perfect petal. I began to look upon my brothers and sisters with compassion and love. I would so enjoy my visit to the city. I would lose track of time and return home late in the evening. I could see my loved ones as separate from me and not people in whom I controlled. They were also children of God on a path of spiritual education, just as I was.
Machiventa taught me by being unaffected and simply with an attitude of being interested in what you were saying. I would bring my drama to him and he always maintained the same look on his face, a little smile while keeping his eyes upon me. He would always respond back to me with wisdom and simple kindness. His questions to me would put me beside myself so I could then view my dramatic interpretation of my current situation and see how I had responsibility in the creation of it and how I could always make it better.
My years with Machiventa were spiritually fulfilling and such a blessing. Many memorable and historic times involved great teachers who would cause small ripples in the current mindset of the age and from that such spiritual assistance would result. How easy it is to become absorbed in personal drama and lose sight of what brings fulfillment and joy. We are seemingly pulled away from challenges to find a place of ease. In the place of no effort is a place of neither joy nor sorrow. It’s a stagnant existence.
Machiventa was wonderful at teaching people to listen, listen to what was really going on in a given situation. You can always find a spiritual current in listening and it closes off the chatter of the mind and links you with a direct line to receiving assistance in how you can relate with others. As I learned to be peaceful with others or unaffected by drama and really listen to my fellows and loved ones, I could then be truly in the moment and do what I was supposed to do, say what I was supposed to say and enjoy the moment and the connection with Father and other souls within the Kingdom.
Closing
ABRAHAM: I also learn nonstop with you, my co-workers, friends, loved ones on this branch of our family tree. I am appreciative of your time, your talents, your input, your humor and your willingness to open your mind to new adventures in the spirit. Well done. That is all for this evening. Mary sends her regards. I am always in abundance with love for you each. Go in peace. Until next time, shalom.
