Session
Opening

ABRAHAM:  Greetings. I am ABRAHAM. I have grown to love the essence of you as a family. You can look at each other as different, but believe me; somebody new would look at you as a family with similar traits. When you have grown with a group of individuals for a time the soul connection with one another becomes obvious and anyone could tell what family you are from. It has been an honor for me to watch you evolve as individuals and as a family whole. When one person is down, the others are encouraging. When one person appears stuck, the others get them moving again.

Lesson

ABRAHAM: I am reminded of the Master’s mortal family. Even though there was a great deal of chaos, there was so much wisdom to be gained from the experience. After Joseph had passed on and Mary was beside herself with grief, Jesus was able to uphold the family. As Mary became strong again, Jesus had His time to grieve. Love was the motivator of that family’s success. It seems as if the world is far from any unifying force, but we can see many groups of individuals who continue to support and encourage one another to carry on. When we think about the apostles, we can see that each man had his task and one was not more important than the other.

Whether they were giving a sermon to the masses or simply ushering them, it took each individual to bring forth success. I can see how you each relate with countless individuals on a daily basis. A great deal of your education comes from direct divine communication, some from your textbook and some from being around one another. I can see over these years how you have wanted to help each other more than judge one another. I am glad to be a part of that. Our time spent here helps us to go about the daily world with more strength and endurance. Our time spent here is a well of wisdom that we can dip into for experiences we have in our daily lives. You each have done well to be a positive support.

MARY:  I am MARY. I also thank you for your willingness to fill in, so to speak, in any capacity. I would always encourage you to be positive but also realistic and allow information to filter through your intellect, not just your emotions. We know by now that body, mind and spirit are connected and how important it is to make effort to have balance in all three areas. The Master had once said, “If a man believes, then let him act like it.” Which I take to mean that all information we receive is not simply about emotions, but needing to be brought back to our foundation from which our faith was built.

It is understandable that mortals tend to act from emotions. You that have made effort to grow in the spirit, also know how powerful Father is and nothing is ever final. Many in the world today will succumb to depression upon hearing about negative events and they ask, “Where is God?” You that are seeing, you have faith, know that there is no need to be overwhelmed by anything, especially emotions. We stand at the beginning of eternity and if we really believe it, then we would do well to act with a little less emotion and be able to share with others a logical faith.

I am so fortunate to have spent time with the Master. He had taught me a lot about keeping an eye on my emotions and allowing the spirit to make direct contact with me. In a highly emotional state it is almost impossible to have direct contact with the spirit and easy to be overwhelmed with hopelessness. If a person is with faith, then by all means, act that way. You have each seen too much to go back now. You have been through too much to find the surface levels of life satisfactory. I am grateful you take learning these life lessons in stride and often use humor to create balance.

Closing

MARY:  This week think about how the group provides balance for you as an individual. How does the group setting work in other areas of life? What are the steps one can take to remaining calm in the face of a storm? If one is with faith, then how may they display that in everyday life events? What are some examples? That is all for this evening. Again, we are appreciative of that essence that is our family. Thank you for having us. Go in peace. Until next time, shalom.
