ABRAHAM: I am ABRAHAM. Greetings.
Lesson
ABRAHAM: It is wonderful to see you gather in faith, not knowing if I will speak or not. I am thrilled to see you gather for the cause of our Lord. The years have shown the hearts of many, meaning individuals who are sincere in their faith are willing to go without the ‘wow-factor.’ It is said, “Human things have to be known to be loved. Divine things have to be loved to be known.” Your faith shows that you have love for divine things that can only be known through faith.
MARY: I am MARY, greetings to you my friends. I am honored to speak with you this day, your celebration of the resurrected Master. I can say that during the turmoil of the Master’s crucifixion left many of us confused and frightened. We knew not what came next, but held fast to the Master’s words. Jesus told us He would return, but not as He once was. Our minds reeled at the time of the pain of missing Him and His words were but a past whisper.
It did indeed take time for us to gather our thoughts to remember His promise. The most helpful key in remembering the Master’s promises was our close relationships. Our discussions would bring up concerns and fears and always one or two of us would remember the positive side of what was occurring. I know that many of us during this time was seeing through the eyes of pain or emotions. Logic was not in the forefront of our thinking.
As time passed and our fellowship renewed our hopes, we began to see with the eyes of logic and this helped us to remember the promises the Master had made. I personally believe Jesus wanted to teach us the concept of Life after Death.
1) That we will carry on.
2) That we will be educated and career-oriented along the way; and…
3) That we would have purpose and use our skills to further the universal cause for good.
MICHAEL: I am MICHAEL. I am enjoying this closeness with you. I am able to look into your faces and feel the warmth of life. I know that the painful situations of living tend to put our logic in the background, but I know that when we gather we can remember the goodness of Father’s love. We can envision today’s worldwide celebration as renewing life, clearing away the dead branches and allowing the new buds to grow, scooping up our valuable experience and straining it through the filter of logic and not so much emotion–coming forth with skills and tools needed to further work toward the universal good.
We have not reached our goals that were set for the Correcting Time, nor did we expect to. There is a great deal of work to be done and when our work is done, it is done. We have not time-limit, but we do have lasting growth. It is obvious that in Urantia’s current mode of life it is hectic and really difficult to fit the mold of a successful human being. I see many of my little ones acting as machines rather than a branch that is growing toward universal goodness. Believe me, we never asked for that ever–to be machines and exemplify perfection, no. We wanted our children to feel loved, feel that they are known, and feel that they are a part of the grand scheme.
It is obvious in the world’s current situation that money makes the man, but I say with sincerity that what you value is your master. If you serve money—money is your master. If you serve God you have life everlasting and to the fullest. You have meaning for the times that are difficult. You are in understanding of why and how things work. There is less fear and confusion. As Mary said, always allow time to pass during difficult stages. Have fellowship; have a network of like-minded individuals; become involved in those causes you believe in. Being useful gives the spirit purpose and indeed raises the levels of happiness. Close connection with individuals aid you in feeling my presence and the Father’s love.
I can tell you that I am your source for truth should you be able to accept it. I realize that many times truth is difficult, but I say to you, Teaching Mission, that the truth is what will propel us into the stages of Light and Life. I am not saying that you should not grieve over hard truth. By all means, you should cry and make meaning of the hard truth. Humans are emotional creatures. They are compassionate and we love this, believe me. I am saying that do not allow your emotions to cement your beliefs. Do not allow life to show itself through negative perception.
I am here to say change is inevitable. You cannot be entirely shocked when you perceive life moving in a certain direction. Many of you can look back 50 years and see how some of today’s trends were inconceivable back then. I am saying to look at it without judgment. I say you need not agree with the changes, but I am saying with your experience and skills, you can blend it into your understanding. You will do things you have not done before. Know that the thoughts you have had this day bring me to you. I thank you. Remember to think of me often for it brings me to you. Know that my love is ongoing and with unfathomable depth. Children, carry on.
Closing
ABRAHAM: I am ABRAHAM. We thank you Michael for this fellowship and truth that you bring to us so freely. You are without condition. We need not prove anything to you that loves us so completely. You are a Teacher among teachers. You are more than we can ask for. We will remember your promises and continue forth with our best knowledge to work toward universal good.Mary and I are with humbled hearts indeed and look forward to the new. Our love goes with you always. Until next time, shalom.
