Session
Opening

ABRAHAM:  I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. We are happy for the rescheduling and chance to be in touch with you—our co-workers, friends, brothers and sisters.

Lesson

ABRAHAM:   If we view the world right now the awareness of the population is perhaps a little like watching fireworks. The changes on the planet now are sometimes stunning, fearful, beautiful or blinding. It is understandable that many are frozen in their tracks.

The work of the Correcting Time is not easy or even efficient. It takes great patience on the part of those who choose to live their lives according to the Master’s teachings. I would like to reassure everyone that communication such as this is also available on a personal level.

Those of you who practice the Teaching Mission will help steady those who are frozen in their tracks. With our spirit-leading we can explain a bit of what is happening. As you have said, sometimes things must get worse before they are better. With the access of media you don’t hear all of the facts that would add to our definition of an overall picture of Urantia’s happenings.

MARY:  I am MARY. We are grateful for this opportunity to keep updated and encouraged. I believe my greatest lesson in the flesh would be learning patience and that the universe has not the concept of time that mortals do. We, as mortals, have developed our own concept of time and it is not the same as Father’s universe. I know that in wading through deep lessons is sometimes damaging in many ways if mortals should so choose to allow it.

I know that what was so memorable for me is observing the Master’s patience in many areas of mortal living. I am especially affected by the event of the crucifixion where He said “I thirst,” and He was offered wine/vinegar as perhaps a buffer from the pain, physical and mental, and He refused. He wholeheartedly chose to go by the Father’s will.

He could have escaped the pain of the scourging, the humiliation. He could have screamed out His defense, but His mind was so in tune with Father’s that He knew what exactly to do in those moments. A pillar of strength, yes, and I believe that He attained that from His devotion to the Father’s will. I always wondered how could He choose to not have a partner and perhaps some children; but He knew what the Father’s will was and His desires were modified.

Look within at your own pain—each area in your life, be it physical, financial, or mental and emotional. With each event are you aware of staving off your desires for a time to allow Father to communicate with you? That’s why I mentioned the time differences—because you have to be okay in waiting and with patience. The world today is so instant, temporary and disposable. You cannot expect Father to play in this game. He is our Father yesterday, today and tomorrow and His plan is perfect.

With a devotion to the doing of Father’s will, your connection is better with Father or His universe helpers and your desires are changed, your picture is bigger. You will be able to have confidence on the path you are traveling because you know it’s in line with Father’s will.

I am inspired by the Master’s life because He did not choose the easy-instant way out. He did not seek escape. He thought about it, but His devotion to the ‘doing of Father’s will’ won out. How could one live a more perfect life in 36 years? Not a long time, but He chose strength over weakness, wisdom over mysticism, education instead of assumptions.

Where are your eyes to see with? Where are your ears to hear? Where is your mind at these days? Where is your free will and what have you chosen? Are you hiding in isolation and weakness or are you striving to embrace the light? You are to live life on purpose, not let life randomly live you. Many times we can lose focus and it is completely understood.

Closing

MARY:   We would suggest for the month ahead to think about how the Master made choices. Where was His mind? What was the practice in which He connected with Father? Where did such strength come from that He did not run and hide from His problems? Let’s look up above these earthly fireworks to make connection with Father and His familial universe.

Know that Abraham, myself and many others, love you no matter what has occurred in your life, no matter what you have done or who you think you are – we love you. We love you as you are. Embrace the light with us and with that, Abraham and I shall bid you Shalom.
